On Friday, 12 memorandums of understanding (MOUs) were signed between Vietnamese and Indian businesses in the areas of public health, pharmaceutical materials, medication and vaccine production, oil and gas, information technology and technology transfer, education, and tourism.

The occasion was President of the National Assembly of Vietnam, Vuong Dinh Hue’s, visit. On December 17, 2021, he attended the “Vietnam India Business Forum,” which was co-hosted by the Vietnamese Embassy and the Confederation of Indian Industry. Leaders from both nations have nurtured a long-standing traditional friendship between India and Vietnam.

They started diplomatic relations in 1972, which grew into a Strategic Partnership in 2007 and a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2016. One of the key pillars of bilateral relations between these two countries has been trade and investment cooperation.
