Smriti Irani likely to become next CM of Gujarat

Though the Bharatiya Janata Party has managed to sail through the unfriendly wave of the Gujarat Assembly Election, the shock wave contributed by the election has jolted the state’s party unit violently, prompting the party to rationally introspect the policies it took and the governance it done and to examine whether the leaders the party appointed to rule the state succeeded in performing their duty and fulfilling what the party promised and whether there is a need to bring in a new charismatic figure into the state to eliminate the vacuum created by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s departure from the state politics and to lead the state properly in the way the party demands.

As per the latest information, the saffron party is planning to appoint Smriti Irani, who is one of the most efficient central ministers, and who is in the good book of BJP as well as all other saffron adherents, as the next Chief Minister of Gujarat, offering no chance to the regional BJP leaders to raise their claim for the top seat on the basis of their caste support, regional support and other supports.

In the Gujarat Assembly Election, the BJP has secured almost ninety nine seats far less that what they anticipated they would achieve, and what it grabbed during the previous elections in the state in which it has been continuously ruling for almost two decades.
