Kerala Congress (M) leader KM Mani passes away
Veteran Kerala Congress (M) leader and former minister K M Mani, 86, passed away at a private hospital on Tuesday evening. He was under treatment in ICU for a few days for respiratory ailments.
Mani’s family include his wife Kuttiyamma and five daughters Elsa, Annie, Sally, Tessy and Smitha and one son, Jose K. Mani.
Mani was admitted to the Lakeshore hospital on Sunday due to respiratory ailments. Following a detailed medical examination, it was stated both his kidneys were damaged and dialysis was conducted. At the age of 17, he was diagnosed with COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and was frequently been treated by doctors for the same.
His health conditions were improved, however, it got worsened in the evening and Doctor confirmed of his demise around 4:45 PM. He was the sitting MLA at Pala, Kottayam.
