A Kerala based media tycoon, Ansif Asharaf, who is the Chairman of Cochin Herald and the Chief Editor of Cochin Herald magazine, and the son of the founder of Cochin Herald weekly newspaper, late Dr S A Mohammed Asharaf, has lent the legacy of the British media industry to rewrite the future of the Indian media industry by winning the privilege of owning a prestigious United Kingdom-based media brand British Herald, which was a popular newspaper brand in the UK and Europe during the 18th century, and starting a revolutionary digital media platform and other media platforms for the popular brand.

In India, the media sector is highly competitive. Actually, several new media platforms emerge each day in this country. But, only few embrace success.

Mr Asharaf assures that his new media platform would be a youthful media portal -in fact, such a concept is different and sounds progressive and fearless. Therefore, he is likely to let the organisation give a different approach to the prime areas such as politics, sports, economy, business, technology, entertainment and culture.

Mr Asharaf is a very successful person in the media business sector as well as in the digital sector. He is first Indian to be awarded at the prestigious Asia Pacific Economic Summit. Hope his success sagas would repeat again and again.

His new media ventures and news portal (www.britishherald.com) will definitely bring a feather on his cap, which is tightly filled with numerous feathers.
