Yogi visits village in Uttarakhand after five years

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Panchur village in Pauri Garhwal district on Tuesday for the first time in five years, where he met his mother Savitri Devi, 85, and other family members. Adityanath will spend the night with his family, something he hasn’t done in 30 years. Due to Covid restrictions, he was unable to visit the village when his father Anand Singh died in April 2020.

Locals sang traditional Pahadi songs to welcome Adityanath, and special Pahadi dishes were prepared for him at his home.He unveiled a statue of his guru Mahant Avaidyanath at the Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Government College campus, about 3 km from Panchur, during his visit. “It gives me great pleasure that I was given the opportunity to honour my teachers. I went to school here until Class 9 and then left the city. “It’s unfortunate that the majority of the teachers are not with us,” he expressed his disappointment. He also expressed gratitude to the state of Uttarakhand and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for inviting him to the event.

On Akshay Tritiya, Adityanath said he wanted to visit Yamunotri and Gangotri, but he couldn’t leave Lucknow early because he wanted to ensure peace in Uttar Pradesh for Eid. “Namaz is not offered on the road anywhere in Uttar Pradesh.” The purpose of the roads is to facilitate traffic. “All faiths should be respected, and people’s beliefs should not be a source of contention for others,” he said. In Uttar Pradesh, he said, loudspeakers that cause unnecessary noise are being removed from religious buildings. “More than a million microphones have been taken out.” “There is no longer any noise,” Adityanath stated.

On Wednesday, Adityanath will open the Bhagirathi Hotel in Haridwar, which is located next to the Ganga Canal near NH-58. It was constructed for a cost of Rs 41 crore. He laid the hotel’s foundation in May of this year.
