Vijay Babu accused of sexual assault, calls himself the victim in video denial: ‘I am the one who is suffering’

Vijay Babu, a Malayalam actor and producer, has been charged with sexual assault by Kerala Police. The case was filed by Ernakulam South Police in response to a woman’s complaint. The complaint was received on April 22, according to the police. Vijay Babu allegedly sexually assaulted the complainant in a Kochi flat, according to the complaint. She claimed in her complaint that the accused committed the offence more than once. In a Facebook live video, Vijay Babu denied the allegations and stated that he is the victim in this case.

Despite knowing that naming the accuser multiple times in his video is against the law, Vijay Babu stated that he is prepared to face the consequences. “I haven’t broken any rules.” This is a situation in which I am the victim. According to OnManorama, he said, “The so-called law of this country protects her, and she is at ease while I am suffering.” “I’m going to file a defamation suit as well as a counter-suit.” It won’t be a minor matter. I’m not going to let her get away so easily. I can show you all of the evidence, but I won’t because I don’t want to hurt her family,” he added.

According to Vijay Babu, he is “only answerable to my wife, mother, sister, and friends.” He acknowledged that he knew the accuser and that they first met in 2018. Between 2018 and 2021, he denied ever speaking with her. He also claimed to have screenshots of their conversations totaling over 400.

According to the complaint, Babu committed the crime under the guise of offering the victims movie roles. The complainant is from the district of Kozhikode. Vijay Babu, on the other hand, has yet to be questioned or arrested by the police. Friday Film House, a film production company, was founded by Vijay Babu. Philips and The Monkey Pen earned him the Kerala State Film Award for Best Children’s Film (as producer). It’s not the first time he’s been charged with assault. In a Facebook live in 2017, he refuted similar allegations made by a producer.
