Ukrainian bride in Kashmir appeals to PM Modi to assist in bringing Ukraine’s war to an end
Ukrainian bride from Tral, Pulwama in South Kashmir has asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to assist in putting an end to Ukraine’s ongoing war. Aliza, who converted to Islam and took the name Asiya, expressed concern for the safety of her parents in Ukraine following Russia’s invasion of the country.
The mother of two is concerned about the safety of her relatives back home in Ukraine, where ongoing attacks have killed thousands of civilians.
Five years ago, Asiya, who is from Ukraine, married a Kashmiri businessman, Bilal Ahmad from Mandura Tral. She is now a mother of two and has lived in Kashmir since that time.
Asiya expressed concern for her parents in Ukraine and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene to stop the Russian attack. “I implore Prime Minister Modi Ji to intervene between Russia and Ukraine to end the war,” she said.
The Ukraine-Russia conflict reached a climax on February 24, 2022, when Russia launched a large-scale military invasion of Ukraine.
