Trump faces serious criticism for his xenophobic remark

United States president Donald Trump has faced serious criticism for the xenophobic remark he has made against some of Democratic lawmakers whose roots are outside the country.

In the remark he has made through his twitter handle, he has mocked the Democratic lawmakers, highlighting the political situation of the countries in which their roots lie. He has mockingly advised the lawmakers to return to the countries of their origin to help fix the problem those countries face. He has even warned them not to suggest him how to rule his country, the US.

This is not the first time that the United States president has made such a xenophobic remark. He has done this several times before. In all those occasions, he has faced severe criticism.

This time, even some Republicans have come forward to tell the US president that what he has done is wrong.

A Democratic leader has demanded the impeachment of the president who has made the racist remark.

Another Democrat has mocked his ‘Make America Great Again’ slogan, by using the slogan ‘Make America White Again’.

Interestingly, at least three of the four lawmakers the US president has indirectly called as foreigners, are in fact born in the US. The remaining one is the one who reached the US as a child.

Notably, nowhere in his tweet, Mr Trump has mentioned exactly against whom he has written his tweet.
