Salman Khan reportedly buys a Rs 1.5 crore bulletproof car, after alleged threats to his life

Salman Khan has increased his security following reports of death threats. The actor reportedly acquired a weapons licence before purchasing a bulletproof vehicle. In a bulletproof Land Cruiser, Salman and his security team arrived at the Mumbai airport on Monday evening.

Salman’s new vehicle is a Toyota Land Cruiser, according to the car-shopping website Carwale.com, and it costs around 1.50 crore. The website claims that even though the vehicle is no longer in production, it has “Toyota’s proven bullet-proof reliability.” Salman can be seen getting out of the car in a video that several paparazzi accounts have posted. His personal bodyguard Shera is standing next to him. They are joined by a few additional security personnel as well. The actor appeared chicly attired in a peach shirt and black jeans. In the comments, fans praised both his ride and his swag.

Salman Khan visited with Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar last month, and as a result, he was given the authorization to own weapons. He had just started receiving threat letters, so he had applied for self-protection.

Days after singer Sidhu Moosewala was fatally shot near Punjab on May 29th, the actor and his father Salim Khan got a death threat in June. Salman Khan was threatened by the gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is thought to have planned the murder of Moosewala. Since the actor’s alleged involvement in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, he has been on Bishnoi’s radar.
