‘Roudram 2018’: Jayaraj’s next venture to hit the screens on October 18


Ace filmmaker Jayaraj next venture ‘Roudram 2018’, has finally got a release date. The movie depicts the violence of nature and the utter helplessness of humankind during the 2018 Kerala floods, it is all set to hit the screens on October 18. ‘Roudram 2018’ focuses on an old couple, who get trapped in their house during floods. Renji Panicker essays Narayanan, an aged man, who has his own curb. Narayanan is fond of music and depends on his wife, only when he has some discomfort or needs food. KPAC Leela essays Marykutty, who is Narayanan’s wife is a courageous soul. Marykutty’s determination in fighting the disaster and surviving it plays a pivotal part in the narrative.

The trailer of ‘Roudram 2018’ was recently released and it gained a good response from the audience. Based on real-life incidents that occurred in central Travancore during the devastating Kerala floods, ‘Roudram 2018’ is the seventh part in Jayaraj’s ‘Navarasa’ series. Nikhil S Praveen has done the cinematography and Jinu Sobha is managing the edits. Sachin Sankar Mannath has composed the music for the film and Dr Suresh Kumar Muttath is producing ‘Roudram 2018’ under the banner of Prakriti Pictures.
