Railways to provide free transportation of flood-hit relief to Kerala

Railway Minister Piyush Goyal confirmed his ministry is doing possible help for people stranded in Kerala. “Railways will now provide free transportation of flood relief kit for Kerala through diverse State Govt agencies, PSUs and other Government firms.” Goyal tweeted

According to the statement by railways, a special train is issued with seven open wagons containing tanks will carry 15 lakh litre of drinking water and is transmitted from Pune and Ratlam. The railways have also made arrangements for emergency movement of drinking water for the trains in Kerala.
