Rahul Gandhi to visit the family of Sidhu Moose Wala in their village

Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leader, will pay a visit to the Moosa village in Punjab’s Mansa district today to meet with the family of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, who was assassinated on May 29. Former Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot paid a visit to Moose Wala’s home on Monday and met the singer’s father. He expressed his sorrow over the murder and demanded that those responsible be brought to justice.

“It’s heartbreaking to learn how our leader was assassinated. The state is repeatedly instilled with a sense of threat. The federal government and state governments should investigate the death and take swift action. The purpose of such an incident is to instil fear in the public. Drug cartels, terrorists, and gangsters are all gaining ground (in Punjab). The Centre and the state should look into the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala and take action against the perpetrators “Mr. Pilot stated to the press. Meanwhile, BJP leaders Hans Raj Hans and Manjinder Singh Sirsa paid Moose Wala’s family a visit to express their condolences on his death.

According to the forensic report, Sidhu Moose Wala’s body had 19 bullet injuries and he died within 15 minutes of being shot, with the cause of death being “haemorrhage shock” due to antemortem firearm injuries.

Last week, Punjab Police reconstituted the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to speed up the investigation into Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, also known as Sidhu Moose Wala, who was murdered.

On May 29, unidentified assailants shot and killed Sidhu Moose Wala in Jawaharke village in Punjab’s Mansa district. The incident occurred a day after the Punjab police withdrew his security, along with that of 424 others. The singer’s death has left his fans in a state of shock.

Sidhu Moose Wala, who was born on June 17, 1993, was a popular singer among the youth, with 6.9 million Instagram followers. With songs like “295,” “So High,” “Issa Jatt,” “Tochan,” and “Dollar,” Moose Wala soared to new heights of fame.

However, the controversies surrounding him for promoting drugs and violence through his songs often overshadowed his stardom. In December 2021, the Punjabi singer entered politics, joining the Congress party and running for Mansa, but losing.
