On the second anniversary of Rishi Kapoor’s death, Neetu and Riddhima Kapoor reflect: ‘It was difficult and painful’
Rishi Kapoor’s wife Neetu Kapoor and daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahani shared emotional posts on social media on the second anniversary of his death. After a long battle with cancer, the Bollywood star died on April 30, 2020.
Neetu Kapoor, who is currently judging Dance Deewane Juniors, shared a clip from the show in which a contestant’s grandmother sang a song for her late husband. Neetu was moved to tears when she heard the song because it brought back memories of Rishi Kapoor. “Every day, when I meet someone, I am reminded of Rishi ji because everyone has a story about him,” she said.
“Today is two years since rishi ji left us,” Neetu captioned the video. It was difficult and painful to lose a 45-year partner. The only way to heal my heart at the time was to keep myself mentally occupied… #dancedeewanejuniors @colorstv helped me achieve that rishiji will always be remembered and will stay in everyone’s heart forever.”
Riddhima posted a photo of herself as a child with her late father and captioned it, “Papa.” “Biggest hug,” Soni Razdan commented on the photo as she shared it on social media. Riddhima’s photo was adorned with heart emojis by Bhavna Pandey, Maheep Kapoor, and Manish Malhotra.Rishi Kapoor’s children Riddhima and Ranbir accompanied him to New York for cancer treatment. Ranbir, who married Alia Bhatt recently, kept his father close to him during his wedding celebrations. He danced at his mehendi ceremony while holding a photo of Rishi Kapoor. Neetu Kapoor also dedicated a photo of herself and Ranbir from his wedding day to her late husband. “This is dedicated to Kapoor Saab, your wish has been granted,” read the photo’s caption.
