Old vehicle scrappage policy; Prime Minister said that it is a milestone in the development journey

The policy of scrapping old vehicles, which is leading to a great revolution in the automotive world of the country, starts from today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that this decision is a milestone in the country’s development journey. Under the new policy, commercial vehicles will not be allowed on the road after 15 years and private vehicles after a maximum of 20 years.

Prime Minister Modi said the new scrapping policy would make a big difference in the automotive sector and the decision would bring changes in all sectors of the country. There will be a big change in the transportation sector. This policy is about wealth from waste. The Prime Minister said the project would bring in an additional Rs 10,000 crore and provide employment to thousands of people. The next 25 years will be very important for the country. The Prime Minister said that changes are coming in all sectors.

Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Surface Road Transport, said that the new demolition policy for scrapping of old vehicles in the country is aimed at preventing environmental impact and strengthening the economy. He said the new policy would provide employment to 3.7 crore people and increase GST revenue by Rs 40,000 crore. Nitin Gadkari also said that the country is moving towards e-vehicles.
