M.A. Yusuf Ali wins MBA Award, 2012.

Leading Business man and philanthropist M.A. Yusuf Ali was adjudged for the prestigious MBA Award 2012.  

He is the Managing Director of Abu Dhabi-headquartered EMKE Group of Companies which owns the LuLu Hypermarket chain in Middle East. Yousuf Ali is ranked as the second richest Indian ($1.75 billion) in the Gulf region by Arabian Business.com.

The award committee’s search was for a Malayalee Business Achiever, with an asset base of more than 5000 crore and a big heart for social causes. The committee comprised of Mr. V.P. Nandakumar Chairman, Manappuram Group of Companies, Mr. George Paul, President Medical College Management Federation & Director of Synthite Group Mr. A C K Nair, Airport Director Kochi, Mr. Ishwardas, CEO of Catholic Syrian Bank.

The MBA Award in its third year of honoring Malayalee Business Achievers, has in its first year honored Mr. V.P. Nandakumar  Chairman, Manappuram Group of Companies and Mr. Joy Alukkas of Joy Alukkas Group.

The award was organized by Pegasus, a leading event management company in South India, in association with Indian Chamber of Commerce Cochin chapter. The award will be presented in a ceremony in Kochi shortly.
