ITC Hotels Reports 54% Jump in Q1 Profit as Room Sales Surge
ITC Hotels, one of India’s premier hospitality chains, posted a 54% rise in consolidated net profit for the first quarter ended June 30, 2025, reaching ₹1.33 billion ($15.5 million), up from ₹865.3 million in the same period last year. The strong growth was primarily driven by a 16% increase in revenue from room sales, which accounted for 52% of the company’s total revenue.
The company’s overall revenue from operations grew 15.5% year-on-year to ₹8.16 billion. The robust performance comes amid a boom in India’s hospitality sector, spurred by a surge in domestic travel and rising demand for wellness and experience-oriented stays. Industry forecasts predict the Indian travel retail market will grow from $2.47 billion in 2025 to $6.56 billion by 2030, presenting further growth opportunities for hospitality players.
ITC Hotels was officially spun off from its parent company, ITC Ltd., on January 29, 2025. Founded in 1975, the brand now competes with top industry players such as EIH Ltd. (Oberoi) and Indian Hotels Co. Ltd. (Taj) and operates across luxury to mid-scale segments under six distinct brands.
