In One Of Biggest Seizures, ₹ 1,700-Crore Heroin Found At Mumbai Port

The special cell of Delhi Police reported on Wednesday that a container containing over 22 tonnes of licorice coated with heroin was found at Nhava Sheva Port in Mumbai. According to the authorities, this is one of the largest heroin recoveries, with a value of $1,725 crore on the worldwide market.

“The estimated cost of the heroin that was seized was 1,725 crore. To Delhi, the container was shipped. This seizure demonstrates the impact of narcoterrorism on our nation and the various strategies used by foreign actors to smuggle drugs into our nation “said HGS Dhaliwal, Special Commissioner of Police.
