In Lucknow, Akshay Kumar will host a screening of Samrat Prithviraj for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister

Tomorrow in Lucknow, the cast and crew of the upcoming period action drama Samrat Prithviraj will hold a special screening for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

According to a press release from the producers, superstar Akshay Kumar, as well as the film’s director Chandraprakash Dwivedi and female lead Manushi Chhillar, will attend the screening for the UP chief minister.

The film Samrat Prithviraj, which will be released in theatres across the country on June 3, is based on the life of legendary warrior king Prithviraj Chauhan, who will be played by Kumar. Princess Sanyogita is played by Chhillar in the film.

The film, according to Akshay, is based on the “last Hindu Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan, who shed every drop of blood in his body to defend Bharatmata.”

According to the press release, the actor said, “Our film salutes the mighty king’s courage and valour, and we hope that the people of our nation are inspired by his values of protecting his motherland at all costs.”

The UP chief minister will watch the film on Thursday, according to Dwivedi, who is best known for directing the 1991 TV epic Chanakya and the 2003 Partition film Pinjar.

“Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan is a living example of how every Indian should live for his family, country, and freedom.” The mighty samrat’s values are still relevant and will remain so as we fight historical and cultural manipulation in the information age.

“It is our great honour that Yogi Adityanath ji, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, will watch our film tomorrow and bless our attempt to bring the story of Bharatmata’s brave son to life,” the filmmaker said.

A screening of the film will be held for Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday.
