Govt says India insulated from Greece fallout; Re may get hit
As Greeks rejected from rescue package from creditors spooking markets, the government has proclaimed that India is isolated from the crisis but rupee may be affected due to the outward flight of investment.
India is well protected as its macro- economic situation is much more stable. India has reserves. It is an economy which is still a very attractive investment destination. So its relatively well insulted .
Greeks, yesterday rejected a rescue package from international creditors, putting the future of the country’s Eurozone membership in ambiguity. The government is closely monitoring the situation as India may be indirectly impacted and says Finance Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi.
