Fresh Corruption Case Registered Against AAP Leaders Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain

The Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) has registered a fresh case against senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain in connection with alleged corruption in the construction of school classrooms in Delhi. The ACB claims that a massive scam worth ₹2,000 crore was unearthed during the AAP government’s tenure, involving the construction of 12,748 classrooms and related buildings.

According to the Anti-Corruption Bureau, the project witnessed significant cost escalations and delays, with none of the works being completed within the stipulated time frame. The ACB also highlighted serious procedural lapses, stating that consultants and architects were appointed without adhering to mandatory guidelines, leading to inflated costs.

The case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption (POC) Act, following the requisite approval under Section 17-A from the competent authority. The investigation will focus on the alleged irregularities, financial mismanagement, and the role of the accused in the reported scam.
