FORD ENDEAVOUR

The new Ford Endeavour gets a brand new interior that includes a new dashboard, seats and many more. The dashboard is typically American with a large horizontal slab like design and with a gloss grey finish that offsets well with the beige lower half and the dark brown leather wrapped upper half. The Endeavour also gets a large touchscreen infotainment display that has been set within a similar gloss grey surround and flanked with two large chrome AC vents. The lower part of the dashboard gets basic controls for the audio. If we are to complain, it is with the area around the climate control system that looks Spartan and out of place.

The Endeavour comes with beige interiors on all variants and comes with seven seats as standard. The front seats are large and comfortable and come with ample support. When it comes to space, there is no surprise that the Endeavour offers more than enough of it in the front and mid rows. Gone is the knee up seating position of the earlier model, the middle row seats now offer good support and recline to add to the comfort levels. The last row of seats are cramped but sliding middle row and scooped out roof lining make it more liveable.

The driver’s seat is electrically adjustable and on the larger 3.2-litre engine versions, the last row of seats can be folded down or erected back at the touch of a button. This, along with electrically closing tail gates, makes it very handy. It is very well loaded. With the top of the line version, it also gets a large panoramic roof and active noise cancellation that built into the car’s audio system. However, basic features like key-less entry and a Start-Stop button are missing, which even the Ecosport gets these days.
