Filmmaker Mani Ratnam Hospitalised In Chennai

The renowned director Mani Ratnam has been checked into a hospital in Chennai, according to news source PTI. According to reports, the 66-year-old filmmaker had feverish symptoms and needed to be brought to a hospital in Chennai.

More information regarding the veteran filmmaker’s condition is awaited. According to a source cited in the PTI story, the director will probably be released on Tuesday. “According to sources, the legendary director was examined after being admitted to the hospital today with feverish symptoms. The insider claimed that he had tested negative for COVID-19 and will likely be released today “PTI reported.

On the work front, Mani Ratnam anticipates the release of the historical drama Ponniyin Selvan, whose recent teaser release has garnered media attention. Lyca Productions is the production company for the movie. The popular historical novel Ponniyin Selvan by Kalki Krishnamurthy served as the basis for the period drama.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, Prakash Raj, Jayaram, Jayam Ravi, and Aishwarya Lekshmi are a few of the actors in the ensemble cast of the movie.
