Congress Leader Bhanwar Lal Sharma Dies At 77

Bhanwar Lal Sharma, a prominent member of the Congress party, passed away on Sunday at the age of 77 in Jaipur, Rajasthan’s Sawai Man Singh Medical College.
Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister of Rajasthan, expressed his “deepest condolences” to the veteran leader on Twitter and mentioned that Bhanwar Lal Sharma has been ill for a while.

“My deepest condolences on the passing away of Congress MLA from Sardarshahr (Churu), Shri Bhanwarlal Sharma. He was keeping unwell for a long time, I was in touch with his family members regarding his health, and met the family to learn about his health by reaching the SMS hospital last night,” Ashok Gehlot tweeted.

“I pray to God for providing strength to the bereaved family in this difficult time and peace to the departed soul,” he said in another tweet.

After receiving tickets from the Congress for the elections in 1998, 2003, 2013, and 2018, Bhanwar Lal Sharma was elected as the MLA.

In 1985, he ran in the Rajasthan assembly election to become a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Lok Dal. In 1990, after joining the Janata Dal Party, he ran again to become an MLA.
