Babur Assam expresses dissatisfaction with Pakistan team selection for T20 World Cup

Babur Assam has expressed dissatisfaction with Pakistan’s selection for the Twenty20 World Cup, which starts in October. The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced a 15-member squad.

Babur was angered by the omission of veterans Fakhar Zaman and former captain Sarfraz Ahmed. The 15-member squad for the Twenty20 World Cup has been announced following the appointment of Rameez Raja as the new chairperson of the Pakistan Cricket Board.

Waqar Younis and Misbah-ul-Haq resigned as coaches after Ramis Raja took over. The resignation of the duo led to a heated debate in the Pakistan Cricket Board.

According to reports, Babur wanted to include Sharjeel Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Faheem Ashraf and Usman Qadir in the squad. But Rameez Raja was dissatisfied. The selection committee will replace Asif Ali, Khushdil Shah, Assam Khan and Shoaib Masood.

The BCCI-led World Cup will be held in the UAE and Oman from October 17 to November 14. The matches to be played in India were shifted to the UAE following the expansion of Kovid. India and Pakistan are competing in the same group.
