Assassination of Sidhu Moose Wala; The first arrest was registered by the Punjab Police

Police have registered the first arrest in the death of Punjab Congress leader and pop singer Sidhu Moose Wala. Manpreet Singh, a native of Uttarakhand, was arrested. He was produced in Mansa court. Manpreet Singh has been remanded in police custody for five days. Six persons, including him, were taken into police custody from Uttarakhand yesterday.

Police said Manpreet Singh, a drug dealer, had earlier been arrested on charges including attempted murder. The Punjab police took them into custody from Dehradun with the help of Uttarakhand police and a special investigation team.

Meanwhile, Delhi Police have arrested Lawrence Bishnoi, a suspected goonda leader involved in Moose Wala’s murder. He will be questioned in connection with the death of Moose Wala. Lawrence Bishnoi is in jail in connection with another case. The Goldie Brar gang, which has close ties to Lawrence, had previously claimed responsibility for the killings. Brar’s work is centered in Canada.
