Now Apply For an Indian Passport Also by Using a Mobile App

mPassportSevaExternal Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj launched the mPassportSeva Mobile App along with the new feature. An Applicant can now apply for the passport from anywhere in the country, against the backdrop of the number of registration centres.

She also stated that the BJP led NDA government in last four years has established 230 number of Passport Seva Kendra and Post Office Passport Seva Kendra. Earlier there were only 77 passport centres in our country. Sushma Swaraj also confirmed that passport centres will be installed in all 543 Lok Sabha constituencies.

The mobile app is available for iOS and Android users and through the app one can apply, pay and schedule appointments for passport services as per the official rules. The new scheme allows the applicant to pick their desired Regional Passport Office and the submission of their application makes it hassle-free.
