Apple Soon to Start Production of iPhone 12 in India
Apple confirmed that it will start manufacturing iPhone 12 in India, which is to take place at Foxconn’s facility in Tamil Nadu. These will be made available for purchase in the domestic market and will also be exported.
As per reports, this will be the fifth iPhone model being manufactured in India, wherein the company has already produced iPhone SE, iPhone XR, iPhone SE 2020, and iPhone 11 some time ago. Apple has been trying to widen its footprints in India and hopefully, this could be a stepping stone to have a significant market share.
Apple had clocked about a 29 per cent jump in its revenues in India at Rs 13,755.8 crore, while its net profit witnessed manifold growth to Rs 926.2 crore in financial year 2020 over the previous fiscal, as per regulatory documents.
