Aero India 2023 Takes Off, PM’s Shout-Out To Made-In-India Tejas

The largest air exhibition in Asia, Aero India 2023, was opened by the prime minister today in Bengaluru. The 14th iteration of the event will showcase homegrown tools and technologies to create alliances with international businesses.

At the event’s opening, Prime Minister Modi stated that Aero India is a reflection of India’s new strength and aspirations. He continued by citing the INS Vikrant and the made-in-India Tejas aircraft as examples of India’s potential.

Along with a sizable display and trade fair of aerospace and defence firms, Aero India 2023 will feature aerobatics. The Aero India 2023 competition will feature nearly 809 firms from 98 nations. The Runway to a Billion Opportunities is Aero India 2023’s theme.Even though the event will be heavily dominated by the military, it will also highlight India’s attempts to accommodate a growth in domestic tourism and repair its reputation internationally.

As part of its “Make in India” initiative, the Narendra Modi administration has insisted that companies like Lockheed Martin Corp., Boeing, and Airbus share technology or produce more than just parts in India.

Various Indian and foreign defence businesses are likely to sign 251 agreements totaling an estimated 75,000 crore in investments. A potentially historic agreement to purchase over 500 aircraft from Airbus SE and Boeing Co., valued at more than $100 billion at list prices, is anticipated to be announced by Air India.
