Tata Motors Raises Iveco Offer to €14.40 Per Share
Tata Motors has increased its offer price for Italian truckmaker Iveco Group to €14.40 per share from the earlier €14.10, as regulatory approval processes in several jurisdictions take longer than initially expected. Iveco announced the revised offer on Friday, October 9, 2026, and welcomed the price increase. Tata Motors described the revised price as its “best and final” offer.
The tender offer period began in early September and is scheduled to close on October 26. As of Friday, 28.4% of the Iveco shares targeted by the offer had been tendered, according to data from Borsa Italiana. The revised price represents a 6.77% premium over Iveco’s closing share price on July 29, 2025. However, Iveco shares were trading at €14.40 at Friday’s market close.
Tata Motors had agreed in July 2025 to acquire Iveco’s commercial vehicle business in a deal valued at €3.8 billion, following the planned disposal of Iveco’s defence business. The latest price revision comes as the acquisition process progresses through regulatory procedures. The deal is a significant development in Tata Motors’ international commercial vehicle expansion, with the final outcome dependent on the completion of the offer process and applicable approvals.
