Fireside Ventures Raises ₹22.65 Billion for Fourth Consumer-Focused Fund
India’s consumer-focused venture capital firm Fireside Ventures has raised ₹22.65 billion (approximately $253 million) for its fourth fund, strengthening its ability to back the country’s fast-growing new-age consumer brands. The fund received commitments from a diverse set of global and domestic investors, including U.S. university endowments, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Investment Corporation of Dubai and Fidelity International.
Launched in 2017, Fireside Ventures now manages assets worth $650 million across its four funds and has invested in over 60 consumer brands. Its portfolio includes well-known names such as Honasa Consumer — the parent company of Mamaearth — wearables giant boAt, and premium mattress maker The Sleep Company. The firm continues to position itself as a key supporter of India’s rising consumer-product innovators.
Industry reports project robust growth in India’s consumer economy, driven by rising incomes and rapid urbanisation. The country’s retail sector is expected to nearly double to $1.93 trillion by 2030, while online retail is forecast to surge from $75 billion in 2024 to $260 billion by the end of the decade, according to a joint report by Deloitte and FICCI.
