Kohli evacuates; Rohit White Ball Captain After T20 World Cup

Virat Kohli to step down as India’s white ball captain after T20 World Cup in UAE in October-November Kohli’s move is to focus on batting. With this, Rohit Sharma will lead Team India in ODIs and T20s. Kohli’s assessment is that captaincy in all three formats affects batting.

According to the report, Kohli has been in talks with Rohit and the team management for the past few months about handing over the captaincy. Through this, Kohli aims to contribute more to the team in batting in the 2022 and 2023 World Cups.

‘Virat Kohli himself will announce his resignation from the White Ball captaincy. His plan is to focus on batting and return to the form of the best batsman in the world, ”sources close to the BCCI told.
