NASSCOM: New Drone Guidelines to Help Startups and SMEs Enhance Innovation

The new drone guidelines were announced on Thursday by the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

According to the National Association of Software and Service Companies, this will encourage innovation, assist small and medium-sized businesses and startups, and generate new growth opportunities (Nasscom).

The non-governmental trade association stated in a statement that it “welcomes the government’s decision to liberalise regulations for operating Drones in the country for both commercial and non-commercial uses under the new Drone Rules, 2021.”

This will not only open up new growth prospects for startups and SMEs, but it will also allow them to develop creative use cases and applications in a variety of industries, including e-commerce, mining, healthcare, emergency response, and logistics, among others.
