Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to act in Mani Ratnam’s next project Ponniyin Selvan

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was last seen in ‘Fanney Khan’ starer Anil Kapoor and Raj Kumar Rao. After that she has not signed any movies. But in recent the reports she said that she has confirmed working with Mani Ratnam in his new project ‘Ponniyin Selvan’

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan said that she is happy and honoured to be part of his project. She also added that he is my guru and my first step to the industry is through his film Iruvar.

Ponniyin Selvan is a famous Tamil classic, written by Kalki Krishnamurthy. The story is about the early life of the Chola ruler, Rajaraja Chola 1. According to the reports Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is playing the role of his wife and an antagonist in the film.
