14th Manappuram Minnale Film Awards: Best Scriptwriter award was received by Siji, wife of Sachy
The 14th Manappuram Minnale Film Media Awards, the VPN and IBE Awards (FMB Awards), and MBA award had been awarded to the winners. The awards ceremony was held on February 24 at the Le-Meridien Hotel, Kochi. The managing director and CEO of Manappuram Finance Pvt Ltd, Mr V P Nandakumar was the chief guest for the award ceremony.
In the Film Category, the Best Actor award has been bagged by Renji Panicker for the film Kalamandalam Hyderali and Anna ben is the recipient for the Best Actress award for the film Kappela. Father of Anna Ben, director Benny P Nayarambalam came on behalf of Anna to receive the award.
The film Ayyappanum Koshyium which was produced by Ranjith Balakrishnan, has been selected as the Best Film of the year 2020. The recipient for the Best Director award is Midhun Manuel Thomas for the movie, Anjaam Pathiraa.
KR Sachidanandan, fondly known as Sachy had left the Malayalam industry shaken with his sudden demise. The legendary filmmaker is honored with the Best Screenplay award for the film Ayyapanum Koshiyum. His wife Siji came and received the award.
The winners of the category was official announced through a press conference held on 18th Feb 2021. The award ceremony was conducted by following all the government’s Covid protocol.
