As many as seven Maoists have been arrested from the Sukma region, one of the most sensitive regions in the country affected by the Maoist extremist activities.

As per a media report, the Maoists have been arrested in a search operation carried out by the STF, CRPF and the Cobra Battalion.

The arrested Maoists have been identified as Komram Sade, Madkam Hindwa, Madkam Joga, Madkam Ganga, Mandvi Sukka, Vanjam Singha and Vanjam Aayta.

As per the report, all arrestees are the members of ‘Jan Militia’ and the residents of Sukma region.

It is believed that the arrested Maoists were instrumental in the March 13 blast in which nine security force persons were killed.

A senior official, while speaking to the media persons, has informed them that the authorities have received clear evidence to prove the involvement of the arrestees in the anti-landmine vehicle attack.

Recently, the Union Home Minister has said that the Maoists are presently at its last leg, indirectly indicating that the security forces have successfully contained the Maoist activities in the country to an extent.

The HM has also directed the administrators working in the Maoist-hit regions to launch necessary policies to bring the Maoist back to the normal life.
