A decade in fashion industry: Interview with Sameer Khan
5 Q: Participants in Miss South India, Miss Queen of India are usually not well equipped with fashion and grooming process or most of them don’t have that experience. Tell us about the process of working with them?
A: Well, grooming of the upcoming models is my work and it is not an easy task. In Miss South India and Miss Queen of India, I hardly get few hours in a day to do my work. All the contestants will be tired up with many other sessions. So, I have to start with basic walk and poses. It is a difficult task but I enjoy doing that.
6 Q: You know 8 major languages. How did you learn them? Are they use full in the grooming process?
A: Yes, I speak 8 languages, mostly South Indian. I was born and bought up in Mangalore and in Mangalore, we have many languages and I have Friends from all over India. By communicating with them, you can learn many languages. It is useful in the grooming process as well. I get to communicate with them and therefore, improvise my own skills in that language.
