India’s biggest outsourcing company Tata Consultancy Services for this year is to train over one lakh employees in digital technologies which they have deployed for training. The CEO N Chandrasekaran has stated that a big investment was being made for the development of the learning platform and some employees are already making use of the platform. He also stated that TCS is targeting $5 billion in revenues from the digital stream program. TCS attrition rose to 15.1 per cent during the June quarter which is considered to be a sharp hike from 13.8 per cent in the previous quarter. TCS was reported to have employee strength of 324,935 till June 30. TCS net profit rose to Rs.5, 709 crore against Reuter’s estimate of Rs.5, 440 crore. It had reported a revenue growth of 3.5 per cent during June quarter against expectations of 4.4 per cent growth.
