Keerthy Suresh in Priyadarshan’s ‘Marakaar’
Keerthy Suresh is all set to come back to Mollywood after Geethanjali with the same team in Priyadarshan’s Marakaar: Arabikadalinte Simham.
“I haven’t thought of it as a comeback at all. In fact, I am doing a film with the very same team I started off this film’s journey including Priyan uncle and Lal uncle. Also, this time Appu (Pranav Mohanlal), Kalyani Priyadarshan and my sister (Revathi Suresh) are also part of the film; so, it’s more or less like working with family” Said Keerthy Suresh.
Keerthy’s character in the movie is trained in classical music. The turning point of the film comes through her love story with Kunjali Marakkar IV’s personal associate Chinali, played by Chinese actor named JayJ Jakkrit, explains the filmmaker, who is all praise for Keerthy’s work ethic for the film, which wrapped up shooting a few months ago.
Film maker Priyadarshan is now busy with the post production of the movie said“When you tell her a character’s graph, her concern is not how she should look but how to bring out the best performance. For her role in Marakkar, she took the pains to learn veena and play each note perfectly for the movie. Not many know that Keerthy plays the violin, but it’s great that she took the effort to learn another instrument and that too veena, which isn’t easy.” The film is tentatively set to release by 2019 end.
Priyadarshan on working with Keerthy after 6 years said “She is obviously blessed with talent because her mother Menaka was also a brilliant actress. But even during Marakkar, I felt like I was working with her in Geethaanjali because she had the same newcomer’s enthusiasm. She always kept asking if she can go for one more take because she wants her scenes to be perfect. Keerthy tries to understand each scene and puts forth her suggestions, unlike other actors who would ask what the director wants from them and does only what is required. I found that very interesting about her.”
As per the rumored reports Keerthy Suresh will be part of Vineeth Sreenivasan’s upcoming directorial, where Pranav Mohanlal will be seen in the lead.
