Dilsukhnagar Arena – India’s best DigitalMediaAcademy celebrates 15th Anniversary with great fanfare
Minister for IT & Communications Sri Ponnala LakshmaiahGaru lit the lamp as Chief Guest to commence Dilsukhnagar Arena’s 15th Anniversary celebrations on August 3, 2013 at Swagath Grand Hotel, Nagole, Hyderabad.
Ponnala LakshmaiahGaru commended Dilsukhnagar Arena CEO RajasekharBuggaveeti on winning the “BEST DIGITAL MEDIA ACADEMY” Award -2013 and showered generous praise for training over 16000 students so far and for the excellent placement opportunities that Dilsukhnagar Arena – India’s Largest Digital Media Academy was facilitating for Animation, VFX, Web and Graphics students.
The Minister said that the IT & Communications ministry under his leadership is initiating the “Game City” in Hyderabad, designed after observing the best of similar projects worldwide in Manchester, Dubai etc. The project isspread over 6 lakhsft with modern infrastructureentailing an investment of Rs. 200 croreis expected to drive digital media industry growth in AP and generate excellent job opportunities for Animation, VFX, Web, Graphics students.
He said that in IT and Digital Media, Hyderabad has excellent infrastructure and is the second most affordable city for doing business next to Indonesia. He also stated that one out of every three IT resources worldwide are from Andhra. His ministry was committed to leveraging these unique advantages to generate employment opportunities for Animation, VFX, Web and Graphics students.
Mr. Raja Sekhar, CEO of Dilsukhnagar Arena thanked Ponnala LakshmaiahGaru for his initiative in promoting “GAMECITY” for the industry’s benefit. He reiterated his academy’s commitment to superlative digital media education and said that Dilsukhnagar Arena maintainedits industry leadership with highest job placements.
Praveen Kilaru of Rhythm & Hues enthralled the students with an educative presentation on the Oscar Winning Animation film “Life of Pi”. Guests of Honour, Konda Vijay Kumar, E. SattiBabu and ChantiAddala shared their industry experiences for the benefit of students seeking a career in the film industry.
The celebrations were punctuated by a medley of cultural programs by students.
The coveted Pixellence awards aimed at honouring excellence in digital media education were presented to students by the Chief Guest in the presence of CEO Rajasekhar.
