Mercedes-Benz India Sees Strong Demand for CLA BEV Ahead of Launch
Mercedes-Benz India has received 400 bookings for its upcoming electric sedan, the CLA BEV, even before its official launch. The model marks the brand’s first next-generation electric vehicle in India built on the Mercedes Modular Architecture (MMA) platform and comes in three variants, catering to different performance and range needs.
The entry-level CLA 200 offers a range of over 500 km, while the higher-end CLA 250+ variants deliver up to 792 km on a single charge. Equipped with advanced fast-charging technology, the car can add significant range in just 20 minutes. Deliveries for the base model are set to begin in June 2026, while higher variants will start reaching customers earlier.
The CLA BEV also introduces the company’s new MB.OS system in India, featuring AI-powered infotainment and over-the-air updates. With technologies like an advanced virtual assistant and NVIDIA-powered driver assistance systems, the model aims to enhance user experience. Additionally, Mercedes-Benz has introduced a battery health reporting system to improve transparency and customer confidence in electric vehicles.
