Sikh police official shot dead in Texas

A Sikh police official has been brutally shot dead in the United States state of Texas. He has been shot multiple times by the attacker. The police have identified the attacker. And, the attacker has been booked by the police.

The deceased Sikh officer was a senior police officer in Texas. He had more than ten years experience in the Texas police department.

Notably, he is the first Sikh who has got permission to wear his headscarf – which is his religious symbol.

The police have expressed their deep grief in the loss of their best man. They have recounted his memorable contributions with his service for the people of Texas. They said that he played a significant role in helping lives during the Hurricane Harvey and the Hurricane Maria.

He was a member of a global organisation of the Sikh community, the United Sikh. The members of that community have also expressed their deep grief in the loss of their friend.

At this moment, it remains unclear why the police officer has been killed. The police, though has arrested the suspect within minutes after the murder, has not given any hint about the motive behind the brutal act.
