Veteran actress TP Radhamani passes away at 67

TP Radhamani, veteran actress who was mostly active in Malayalam cinemas passed away in Chennai on Sunday. The 67-year old actor was under treatment for cancer.

Radhamani who was active in Malayalam and Tamil films, begun her career in entertainment industry at the age of 14. With about 100 films to her credit, the actor is better known for her role in ‘Utharayanam’. ‘Oru Yathramozhi’ 1997 starrer Mohanlal was her last Malayalam movie.

Radhamani has worked with superstars of M-Town like Prem Nazir, Sathyan, Madhu, Jayan, Mammootty and also with Tamil actors including Kamal Haasan, Prabhu, Vijay Sethupathi among others. She has also shared the screen with Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Chennai Express’.

Radhamani is survived by her husband and their son Abhinay. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and State Cultural Affairs Minister A.K. Balan have grieved the death of the veteran actress.
