US Prez to meet Indian PM and Pakistan PM

United States President Donald Trump is likely to visit Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on the sidelines of the 74th United Nations General Assembly session scheduled to take place in New York.

The US President is expected to meet Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on September 23. Meanwhile, he is scheduled to meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 24, a day after the US president meets the Pakistan PM.

During the meetings, the leaders are expected to discuss many issues, including the sensitive issues.

At this moment, it remains unclear what exactly are the matters that are going to be discussed in the proposed meetings.

These meetings are not the only meetings that are scheduled on those days. On those two days, the US President has some other high profile meetings also. He is expected to meet Poland President Andrzej Sebastian, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Arden, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Looga, Egypt President Al Sisi, South Korean President Moon, United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson and many more.

Earlier, the US President expressed his willingness to act as a mediator in the dispute over the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir between Indian and Pakistan.

Though Pakistan responded positively towards that, India strongly rejected that citing the fact that the Kashmir issue is an internal matter of the country.
