Upper house witnesses pandemonium over Gujarat issue

Disturbing the proceedings of the upper house, the congress lawmakers of the Rajya Sabha have gathered in the well of the house today. The Congress lawmakers have alleged that their Members of Legislative Assembly are unsafe in the Indian state of Gujarat. They further alleged that some of their Legislative Assembly members have been kidnapped by the BJP. Moreover, there have been allegations that the BJP is trying to destabilise the Congress party in the Indian state of Gujarat which is going to witness the crucial Rajya Sabha elections in the near future. Gathering in the well of the house, the Congress parliamentarians have raised slogans against the BJP which is ruling Gujarat and the central government. As the disturbance has exceeded normal threshold limit, the speaker has called for adjournment. Interestingly, today, minutes before the commencement of the pandemonium, Vinay Tendulkar has assumed the office in the upper house as the Rajya Sabha member. In the coming days, the Gujarat political scenario is likely to witness a huge political crisis as both Congress party and BJP is gearing up to demonstrate their might in the Rajya Sabha election for the three seats which fell vacant recently. The congress currently has fifty-one MLAs. It only needs the support of forty-seven MLAs to help at least one of their Rajya Sabha candidates get elected to the upper house. It is learned that at this juncture, it is clear that Ahmaed Patel, the senior Congress leader, will represent the Congress party in the election.
