Sugar – ¾ Kg
Dates – ½ kg
Tomato – 1 Kg
Cloves – 8
Cinnamon – 1 small piece
Water – As Needed
Ghee – 1 tablespoon
Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon
Add cleaned tomatoes into a pan with cinnamon and cloves. Pour water into it. Boil it for few minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and allow it to cool. After cool it, remove the skin of the tomatoes.
Then add skinless tomatoes into a blender with seeds removed dates and some water. Blend it well until it changes smooth paste.
Add 1 tablespoon ghee in a pan. Heat it and add tomato-dates mixture into the pan. Stir continuously. Now add sugar and allow it to dissolve the sugar completely.
Boil this mixture until it thickens and reaches the required consistency of jam.
Before removing from the flame, add lemon juice into it. Mix well.
Allow it to cool. Transfer this jam into airtight glass jars.Keep this in the refrigerator.
Tasty tomato-dates jam is ready. Serve it with bread.
