The chief priest of Sabarimala Temple, KandararuMaheshwararu passed away

The chief priest of Sabarimala Temple, KandararuMaheshwararu passed away on Monday. He was 91.He initiated priestly responsibilities at SabarimalaTemoke at the age of 17.  He was unwell from the last few months due to ageing. KandararuMaheshwararu was the senior member of Thazhamon family of temple priests. The family marks its origin to Andhra Pradesh and is assumed to have reached Kerala during the times of Sage Lord Parasurama.
