The Ananthapuri Express engine on fire on Monday at Kollam Railway station

The Ananthapuri Express coming from Chennai Egmore, at Kollam railway station found with fumes arising from it. The train caught fire while it is at the Kollam railway station on Monday. The reasoning of fire is that the preliminary examination points lead to a short circuit.
However, there are no causalities reported. The train traffic was disrupted for a while following the incident. The railway authorities have informed the usual run of traffic could be reinstated only after replacing the engine.
