Stage set for Manappuram Miss Queen of India 2017

 

Kochi: The stage is all set for the Manappuram Miss Queen of India 2017 organised by Ajit Ravi, the Chairman of Pegasus event production conglomerate. The pageant in which nearly sixteen beautiful young ladies hailing from across the country is expected to participate is scheduled to take place at Hotel Raviz Resorts and Spa, Kollam, on 26 April 2017.

Manappuram Finance Company is the Main Title Partner of the beauty contest, which is organised to felicitate those beautiful young ladies who possess beauty as well as talent appreciably.

Anu Tressa (Kottayam) and Reshma R K Nambiar (Kozhikode) are selected to represent the state in the program in which the Indian culture and tradition are likely to be highlighted extensively. Apart from them, Nidhi Sharma from Arunachal, Akanksha Mishra from Uttar Pradesh, Rachita Joshi from Himachal Pradesh, Riya Sadhwani from Uttar Pradesh, Sanya Manocha from New Delhi, Shabnam Ali from Karnataka, Shailja Sharma from Haryana, Sonal Mudgal from New Delhi, Sunaina Allamraju from Andhra Pradesh ,Supreet Rupam from Himachal Pradesh, Sushmita M from Karnataka, Varna Sampath from Karnataka, Zoya Mirza from Madhya Pradesh are competing for the title.

The grooming session for the programme, which has three rounds such as designer sari, black cocktail and red gown rounds, has been started on 20th April 2017 at P J Princess Regency. The session, which is led by reputed personalities such as Arun Ratna (International Fashion Choreographer), Aileena Catherine Amon (Miss South India 2015), Sudhakshina Thampi (Yoga Trainer), Vipin Xavier (Fitness Trainer, Fitness 4 ever), Jithesh and Preeti Damiyan (Personality Development Trainers), Sanjay and Sunman Gowda (Nirthya Fashion Entertainment, New Delhi), Dr .Eldho Koshy (Dentist), is intended to give a brief insight to the contestants in areas like yoga, meditation, personality development, catwalk, beauty tips, photo shoot, interaction, and talent search .

It is informed that celebrities from the film and fashion sector will appear in the judging panel of the program.

The title winner will be get Rs.1 lakh and a work contract of Rs.50, 000. The first runner up and second runner up will receive Rs. 60, 000 and Rs. 40, 000 respectively. The amount is gifted by Manappuram Finance Ltd. The winners will be crowned with a gold plated crown designed by Parakkat Jewellers.

Apart from the title winners, the subtitles to win are Miss Beautiful Hair, Miss Beautiful Smile, Miss Beautiful Skin, Miss Beautiful Face, Miss Beautiful Eyes, Miss Congeniality, Miss Personality, Miss Cat Walk, Miss Perfect 10, Miss Talent, Miss Viewer’s choice, Miss Social Media and Miss Photogenic. There would also be regional titles, Miss Queen North, Miss Queen West, Miss Queen East & Miss Queen South to win.

Mr. Ajit Ravi said; “The bikini round in which the physical beauty dominates over other aspects of beauty has been strictly excluded from the contest.” He added that this contest is the only gateway towards the Miss Asia contest organised by the same team. A certain portion of the profit gained from this program is used to run the ‘100 Life Challenge programme’ which is being carried out with the support of Rotary International 3211 and Padmavathy Medical Foundation, he further added.

The event is not open to public, so only invited guests can attend the function. The guests are advised to follow the dress code of the program: black or red attire.
