Unique Times-spinach and mushroom casserole

INGREDIENTS:

 

  • Spinach………………………1 kg
  • Butter…………………………3 tablespoons
  • Grated onion………………3 tablespoons
  • Chopped Mushroom…….1/2 Kg
  • Maida……………………………3 tablespoons
  • Common salt ………………..1 tablespoon
  • Pepper……………………………..1/4 teaspoon
  • Light cream………………………2 cups
  • Grated Cheese…………………4 tablespoons

 

 

  • DIRECTIONS:
    1. Preheated oven to 325 degrees.
    2. Wash and drain spinach well and chop coarsely.
    3. Melt butter in a saucepan,saute onion and mushrooms for 5 minutes.
    4. Blend Maida , salt , pepper and nutmug.
    5. Gradually add cream ,stirring steadily to boiling and cook over low heat 5 minutes .
    6. Arrange layers of spinach and sauce in a buttered casserole ending with sauce .
    7. Sprinkle with cheese and place in a shallow pan of hot water.
    8. Bake for 45 minutes.
