A special court has ordered the police to file an First Information Report against Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya, identifying that there is merit in the argument raised by the petitioner who sought serious action against the cricketer for the alleged derogatory twitter post.

A Jalore resident, who claims to be a member of the Rashtriya Bhim Sena, is the petitioner in the case. In his petition, he has claimed that the cricketer has made derogatory statements against the architect of Indian Constitution, Dr B R Ambedkar. The petitioner has sought serious punishment for the crime the cricketer has allegedly committed.

In his petition, the petitioner has also noted that the in-charge of the police station where he initially approached to register a complaint against the cricketer has paid no heed to his grievances.

In the twitter post, the cricketer has allegedly made derogatory statements against Ambedkar, one of the most respected persons in the country, over the reservation policy, which was materialised with the persistent effort of the architect of the constitution.

The aforementioned twitter post is now no longer in his twitter page where he allegedly posted the statement.

Anyway, the cricketer has not yet commended on the issue.
